In the UK there is a Youth Parliament as well as the normal Parliament. I decided this time to run for my constituency North Kirklees. The day consisted of several workshops in which we debated about the current cuts, education, local problems, the voting age and we also counted the votes.
I went with one other representative from my college called Koerie, we both dominated the floor on all debates as we seemed to be in our elements. Politics is a strong passion of mine along with my more popular passions.
We had a chance to put questions to some current councillors which was most intriguing and we dominated the floor again. We in one day changed people's opinions, made sure action was taken on certain subjects, promoted our college as a great place for politics and told that we should teach or go in to politics. We even got to sit in the official Council Chambers with our own microphones, the entire day was filmed.
It was a tremendous day which I enjoyed tremendously.
