The impression that the audience at this particular show got was one of an old fashioned garden party with a modern twist. With the models standing out from the white airy stage

"He takes all his strongest components - dresses, lace and florals - and works them together so beautifully." - Phelan.

The show had an innocence about it with an underlying, secretive sexiness as the florals donate innocence the see-through quality of the patterns left an alluring image in my mind. The vibrant floral colours gave us contrast but I feel that simplicity is a key attribute for the Spring/ Summer collection.

Apologies

Deeply sorry that I haven't posted recently, it has been a hectic week but today I hope to make some posts to keep you up-to-date on London Fashion Week that is currently happening which will also include make-up and hair trends.

Lightning Hit Close To Home

My prospectus arrived from Edge Hill University today! I was really excited just by the thought of me getting post that wasn't from the bank! I've had a quick read and the campus, living and courses all seem IMMENSE! I will have to go check it out, I have a feeling that I'll end up in Liverpool one way or another.

Today I had great fun translating various words in to IPA Phonetics in my English Language class. Theatre Studies was very deep and emotional as we do workshops to get ready for working on 'Bouncers' although with our group there's always a few laughs, no matter how serious we are meant to be. In dance me and my friend Amber finished our choreography based on the themes in 'Broken Chords' by the Vincent Theatre Dance company, I am very impressed with our overall effort, I just wish I could film it and post it. I shall post the music we're using.

I was introduced to A Fine Frenzy by my boyfriend, when he decided that I would like her music as she's a 'ginger like you' I am not naturally ginger just to confirm. Here is 'Almost Lover' by A Fine Frenzy.

The gig started off with an absolute farse, we were thrown out of The Parish because we were under 18, in the UK you can be in a pub from any age but to buy alcohol you have to be 18. It turned out that The Parish was under new management. One of the guys who worked there called her a wanker. Everyone who was underage had to be marked with a cross (Hitler much?) Eventually we got in, my mate James is the guitarist on the right and his band Every Lasting Memory were amazing, they were really good. It was the first time that I had seen them; however I did not enjoy the mosh pit nor the wall of death, my boyfriend kept pushing me out of harms way. We left early and went home to have a lovely night in.

It's a new magazine that I found and these were some of the outfits that I loved. The fur, scarves and layering seem key to keeping warm and stylish this winter. The 80's rock feel seems to be still going strong. I am off to a gig tomorrow night <3 so I will post pictures soon hopefully.

Morning Eden

Hello, hello!

So, after getting bored of my countless accounts on various blogging networks I am hoping that this blog will finally settle me down. I have been especially inspired by two friend's. Nicola who write the fantastic fashion blog Golden Indigo, Nicola I met at college through a friend and I suggest that you follow her. Another name from my college worth mentioning is Laura who writes the fantastically named blog Romance Is Boring her blog really is a breath of fashion fresh air.

Finally me, who writes this charming little blog. My name is Katie, I study Dance, Theatre Studies, English Language and Politics at college. My greatest passion is dance and at the moment it takes up around 15-20 hours a week of my time, dance is a real passion of mine. This blog will be a mixture of lord knows what! I hope that somewhere, someone finds my vague, mildly-amusing ramblings worth their time.

I will try my best to keep up with this blog as I have a good feeling about this one, which will hopefully last a lot longer than all the others have.

Anyway, cheerio!
